Energy Solutions helps you build the best home you can through a variety of service offerings including Energy Star certification, National Association of Homebuilder's Green Building Certification, and high performance contracting.
There's only one way to build a house right- before you move in. Some of the details that we help you coordinate will be covered up by 50 years of sheetrock. Don't cover up costly defects.
We team with you, your builder, his subcontractors, and nationally-recognized labelling programs to offer you the most energy efficient, comfortable, healthy home that money can buy- at a price that stays within your current building budget.
Beginning with a consultation meeting in which we will discuss the roadmap for your home including what high performance amenities are most important to you, we'll be there every step of the building process to ensure the high quality that you demand from a new home. Danny, Matt, Dana or Jeff will come by your home during construction at each phase to inspect and guarantee that the house is meeting your expectations for energy effiicency, health and comfort.
We'll inspect the insulation. We'll test the HVAC system to verify that it is air tight and constructed according to the best standards available. We'll check for air barriers to make sure that your home's heating and cooling is kept within the house and that you're not paying to heat and cool an attic or crawl space. We'll make sure that moisture concerns are addressed to prevent costly and dangerous issues with mold and mildew.
Then, when the house is completed and before you move in, we'll check it again! Matt and Dana will do a blower door test to make sure that it's built air tight. We'll re-verify the HVAC system, check all your bath fans to ensure that they're operational and removing moisture. We will check the attic, crawl space and basement to make sure that all the details that are important to your home's performance are in place, installed properly, and operational.
When you move in to your new home, you can have peace of mind that it really IS energy efficient, comfortable, healthy and environmentally-responsible.
