Danny Gough, Managing Partner

Danny G. Gough holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with over 20 years of experience in engineered mechanical design and building science diagnostics.

He specializes in investigating and diagnosing building failures as well as consulting to prevent such failures in new homes.  His diagnostic testing has been the subject of articles in the Winston Salem Journal and stories on NBC's WXII News Channel 12, FOX 8 WGHP news, and WSJS Radio.  His design of the solar heating system for Piedmont Natural Gas district office in Winston Salem, NC was featured in North Carolina Professional Engineering Magazine.

He is a certified Home Energy Rater for the ENERGY STAR Homes Program administered by the US EPA and US Department of Energy.

In addition, Danny:

  • is a Certified ACCA EPIC Instructor (Air Conditioning Contractors of America),
  • is a licensed NC Heating Contractor (License #7444),
  • is an Exam Certified IGSPA Installer (International Ground Source Heat Pump Association),
  • has investigated over 500 high bill, comfort, and IAQ complaints in structures ranging in value from under $50,000 to over $15 million.

Dana Gough Myers, Building Science Diagnostics

Recently joining Danny, Dana Myers has spent her formible years as a Building Science "Trainee," following her Dad around new construction and existing homes, helping him investigate comfort complaints and learning about hte building science industry. After learning how to operate sensitive and highly-technicial diagnostic equipment at a young age, Dana has now completed her National Certificed Home Energy Rater certification in Atlanta, Georgia. Dana joins Danny as a home performance specialist and Home Energy Rater for Energy Star verification.
